Matt Fagan is a busy little man who has made Chicago his home for the past four years. He has been described by some as "prolific", by others as "like a homosexual Fonzie", and by still others as "sort of a dick." His main joint is the zine Meniscus, whose contents vary from extremely short fiction, to uncomfortably personal confession, to outright lies. When he isn't writing Meniscus, Matt Fagan creates comics like Domestic Partner of Frankenstein, Pumpkin-Boy, Little Grandpa, and Smilin' Dan the Ice Cream Man, all of which come out under the umbrella of Meniscus Enterprises. Mr. Fagan is also a painter, and particularly enjoys producing large, vintage-style circus sideshow banners; you might have seen his canvases at Le Garage, Quimby's, or outside Jo-Jo's Closet in Chicago's infamous Flat Iron Building. He performs regularly at the open mic Mental Graffiti (at the Note in Wicker Park), and less regularly in other local venues such as Joy Blue and Quimby's. But he always performs whenever he is asked; you could probably convince him to read at birthday parties, mitzvahs of both the "bar" and "bat" varieties, funerals, film festivals, or auto shows. He's kind of a whore that way.

Matt's work has appeared in McSweeney's, Little Engines, and Thought Magazine, and on-line in McSweeneys.net, Greg Gillam's wonderful Fengi.com website, and Pindeldyboz.com. He is also a regular reviewer for Xerography Debt, and one time when he was ten he had to play Joseph of Aramathea in the Christmas play.
